संपीडनाय जगतो यदि स क्रियते तपः । सफलं तद्गतं वेद्यं तस्मात्सुविहितं तपः

Transliteration

saṃpīḍanāya jagato yadi sa kriyate tapaḥ | saphalaṃ tadgataṃ vedyaṃ tasmātsuvihitaṃ tapaḥ

Translation

اگر ریاضت دنیا کو دبانے اور ستانے کے لیے کی جائے تو اس کا ‘پھل’ بھی اسی تباہ کن نیت میں سمجھنا چاہیے؛ لہٰذا سچا تپس شیو کے حکم کے مطابق، دھرم کے ساتھ اور درست طریقے سے انجام دینا چاہیے۔
