ityākarṇya vacasteṣāṃ munīnāṃ bhāvitātmanām | sūtaḥ provāca suprītastatsaṃvādānusārataḥ
ان مراقبہ و ضبطِ نفس والے مُنیوں کی باتیں یوں سن کر، سوت نہایت خوش ہوا اور اسی مکالمے کی ترتیب کے مطابق بیان کرنے لگا۔
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It sanctifies the teaching setting: realized sages inquire, and an authorized narrator responds with joy, showing that Shaiva wisdom unfolds through attentive listening (śravaṇa) and faithful transmission of sacred dialogue.
By establishing the narrative authority of Sūta and the sages’ receptivity, it frames the forthcoming teachings—often including Linga worship and Saguna forms of Shiva—as practices received through lineage-based instruction rather than mere opinion.
The implied practice is śravaṇa (devotional listening) with a bhāvita (refined, contemplative) mind—preparing one to adopt Shaiva sādhanā such as mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined worship when taught in the subsequent discourse.
