पार्वतीवाक्यं—शिवस्य परब्रह्मत्व-निरूपणम्
Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
उवाच गिरिजा तावत्स्वसखीं विजयां द्रुतम् । शिव सक्तमनोवृत्तिश्शिवनिंदापराङ्मुखी
uvāca girijā tāvatsvasakhīṃ vijayāṃ drutam | śiva saktamanovṛttiśśivaniṃdāparāṅmukhī
تب گریجا نے اپنی سہیلی وجیا سے فوراً کہا—اس کا دل پوری طرح شیو میں مگن تھا اور وہ شیو کی نِندا سے روگرداں تھی۔
Parvati (Girija)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Establishes the bhakta’s discipline of śiva-bhakti: keeping the mind fixed on Pati (Śiva) and turning away from śiva-nindā, which is treated as a major spiritual impediment (pāśa) in Śaiva ethics.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It highlights the hallmark of true Śaiva devotion: a mind steadily absorbed in Pati (Śiva) and a disciplined refusal to entertain Śiva-nindā (disparagement), which is considered spiritually obstructive.
Linga/Saguṇa worship is sustained by śraddhā and reverent speech; this verse frames the inner qualification—single-minded Śiva-bhāva and avoidance of criticism—that protects and deepens such worship.
Maintain purity of speech and mind during japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and avoid negative talk about Śiva; this supports steadiness in meditation and devotion.
