Sūta Gosvāmin (traditional Purāṇic narrator concluding the chapter colophon)
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter and affirming the scripture’s traditional structure; for devotees, such endings reinforce śraddhā (reverent attention) and frame the teaching as Śiva-līlā—divine activity that guides the soul (paśu) toward Śiva (Pati).
Though it does not describe a specific ritual, it labels the chapter’s theme as “Śiva-līlā,” which in Purāṇic devotion is approached through Saguna worship—such as reverent listening/recitation and contemplation of Śiva’s acts, often centered on the Liṅga as the accessible form of the Supreme.
A practical takeaway is pāṭha-śravaṇa (devotional recitation and listening) with remembrance of Śiva; one may conclude the chapter by mentally offering salutations with the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” optionally with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as supports to devotion.
