nārada uvāca | jīvite girijāputre devyā dṛṣṭe prajeśvara | tataḥ kimabhavattatra kṛpayā tadvadādhunā
نارد نے کہا— اے پرجیشور! جب دیوی نے گِرجا کے پُتر کو زندہ دیکھا تو وہاں آگے کیا ہوا؟ کرپا فرما کر اب بتائیے۔
Nārada
Tattva Level: pashu
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights the devotee’s reverent inquiry into divine līlā and the role of kṛpā (grace): sacred events are to be heard with humility, because understanding arises through compassionate transmission and attentive śravaṇa (listening).
Though the verse is narrative, it supports Saguna-oriented devotion: the Goddess and her son are approached as tangible divine realities whose deeds are contemplated—an attitude that complements Linga worship by cultivating bhakti and remembrance of Shiva’s family and grace-filled acts.
The implied practice is śravaṇa and smaraṇa—listening to Shiva Purana kathā with devotion and reflecting on it; this is naturally paired with japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) before or after hearing the narration.
