तारक-कुमार-युद्धवर्णनम् / Description of the Battle between Tāraka and Kumāra
मा शोच्यतां सुरैः सर्वै सुखेन स्थीयतामिति । युष्मदर्थं शंकरो हि पुत्ररूपेण संस्थितः
mā śocyatāṃ suraiḥ sarvai sukhena sthīyatāmiti | yuṣmadarthaṃ śaṃkaro hi putrarūpeṇa saṃsthitaḥ
تمام دیوتا غم نہ کریں؛ سب آرام سے قائم رہیں۔ تمہاری ہی خاطر شنکر خود فرزند کے روپ میں جلوہ گر ہوئے ہیں۔
Suta Goswami (narrating the Kumārakhaṇḍa episode; the quoted reassurance is spoken to the Devas within the narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It teaches that Pati (Śiva) is not distant: out of grace he assumes an accessible, saguna role—here, a “son”—to remove fear and restore dharma, so devotees should replace grief with steady trust.
The verse supports saguna-upāsanā: Śiva can be approached through manifest forms and līlās (such as appearing as a son), just as he is worshipped through the Śivaliṅga as a compassionate, present Lord who acts for devotees’ welfare.
Adopt fearlessness and steadiness while doing japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and offering bilva to the Liṅga; the inner practice is to remain “sukhena sthita”—calmly established in Śiva’s protection.
