रावणस्य सभाप्रवेशः — रामस्य शरवृष्ट्या राक्षससेनाविनाशः
Ravana Enters Council; Rama’s Arrow-Storm Destroys the Rakshasa Host
अथवाहंशरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्भिन्नगात्रंमहाहवे ।भवद्भिःश्वोनिहन्तास्मिरामंलोकस्यपश्यतः ।।।।
atha vāhaṃ śarais tīkṣṇair bhinna-gātraṃ mahāhave |
bhavadbhiḥ śvo nihantāsmi rāmaṃ lokasya paśyataḥ ||
یا پھر، اس عظیم جنگ میں اپنے تیز تیروں سے اس کے جسم کو چھلنی کر دو، تاکہ کل دنیا کی آنکھوں کے سامنے میں رام کو قتل کر سکوں۔
Then righteous Sri Rama said to nearby Sugriva, Vibheeshana, Hanuman, Jambavan and leaders of Vanaras like Mainda, Dwivida, that the power of these arrows are in him and Lord Siva only.
It underscores how pride and violent intent (adharmic resolve) stand opposed to Dharma; the narrative invites reflection on restraint, humility, and righteous conduct.
The rākṣasa leader threatens to kill Rāma publicly after his troops first wound him.
By contrast, Rāma’s composure and moral authority are emphasized—his enemy seeks ‘spectacle’ because Rāma’s righteousness commands universal attention.
