मकराक्षवधः
The Slaying of Makarākṣa
बाणौघैर्विततास्सर्वादिशश्चप्रदिशस्तथा ।सञ्छन्नावसुधाचैवसमन्तान्नप्रकाशते ।।।।
bāṇaughair vitatās sarvā diśaś ca pradiśas tathā | sañchannā vasudhā caiva samantān na prakāśate ||
ہر سمت اور ہر ذیلی جہت تیر وں کی موسلا دھار بارش سے بھر گئی؛ زمین بھی چاروں طرف سے ڈھک گئی، یہاں تک کہ کچھ دکھائی نہ دیتی تھی۔
All quarters were covered by the arrows in that manner all over and even the intermediate point, the earth could not be seen.
The verse implicitly warns that unrestrained violence obscures clarity—literally and morally. Dharma requires discernment; when conflict becomes all-consuming, right judgment is endangered.
The exchange of arrows becomes so dense that it blankets the battlefield and even hides the ground from view.
The focus is on the intensity of combat rather than a single virtue; indirectly it highlights the need for prajñā (clear judgment) amid overwhelming force.
