लङ्कायांदह्यमानायांशुशुभे स महार्णवः ।छायासंसक्तसलिलोलोहितोदइवार्णवः ।।।।

Transliteration

laṅkāyāṃ dahyamānāyāṃ śuśubhe sa mahārṇavaḥ |

chāyāsaṃsaktasalilo lohitoda ivārṇavaḥ ||

Translation

جب لنکا جل رہی تھی تو وہ عظیم سمندر خوب چمکا؛ شہر کا عکس اس کے پانیوں میں لگ گیا تھا، یہاں تک کہ وہ لال پانی کے سمندر کی مانند دکھائی دیتا تھا۔
