इन्द्रजितः ब्रह्मास्त्र-यागः तथा वानरसेनाविध्वंसः

ततोहतांस्तान् सहसानिशम्यराजामुमोहपरिप्लुताक्षः ।पुत्रक्षयंभ्रातृवधं च घोरंविचिन्त्यराजाविपुलंप्रदध्यौ ।।।।
tato hatāṃs tān sahasā niśamya rājā mumūha pariplutākṣaḥ | putrakṣayaṃ bhrātṛvadhaṃ ca ghoraṃ vicintya rājā vipulaṃ pradadhyau ||
تب بادشاہ نے یکایک یہ خبر سنی کہ وہ مارے گئے ہیں تو بے ہوش ہو گیا، آنکھیں آنسوؤں سے لبریز تھیں۔ بیٹے کے زیاں اور بھائی کے ہولناک قتل کو یاد کر کے وہ گہری اور بھاری فکر میں ڈوب گیا۔
