अतिकायवधः
The Slaying of Atikāya

te ’tikāyaṃ samāsādya vānārā mūḍhacetasaḥ | śaraṇyaṃ śaraṇaṃ jagmur lakṣmaṇāgrajam āhave ||
اتیکایہ کا سامنا کر کے وانر یودھا حواس باختہ ہو گئے؛ جنگ میں وہ پناہ کے لیے رام چندر جی کے پاس گئے—لکشمن کے بڑے بھائی، سچے محافظ۔
The Vanaras were deluded on reaching the huge body and went to Sri Rama to seek refuge.
Śaraṇāgati aligned with dharma: when overwhelmed, one seeks refuge in the righteous protector rather than falling into panic or adharma-driven actions.
The Vānara troops, shaken by Atikāya’s formidable presence, turn to Rāma in the midst of battle for protection and guidance.
Rāma’s role as śaraṇya (worthy refuge): dependable leadership and protective righteousness that others can trust.
