The Slaying of Atikāya
य एषनिशितैश्शूलैस्सुतीक्णैःप्रासमुद्गरैः ।अर्चिष्मद्भिर्वृतोभातिभूतैरिवमहेश्वरः ।।।।
ya eṣa niśitaiḥ śūlaiḥ sutīkṇaiḥ prāsamudgaraiḥ | arciṣmadbhir vṛto bhāti bhūtair iva maheśvaraḥ ||
وہ کون ہے جو تیز دھار، نہایت نوکیلے ترشولوں، نیزوں اور گُرزوں سے—جو شعلہ فشاں ہیں—گھرا ہوا چمک رہا ہے، گویا مہیشور اپنے بھوت گنوں سے گھرا ہو؟
"Who is he in the midst, with sharp tridents and shining spears, like Maheswara surrounded by beings?"
Dharma emphasizes sober recognition of power without surrendering to it; awe must be balanced by steadfast commitment to the righteous cause.
