The Consecration of Vibhishana and Counsel on Crossing the Ocean
विभीषणवच: श्रुत्वारामोदृढपराक्रमः ।अन्वीक्ष्यमनसासर्वमिदंवचनमब्रवीत् ।।6.19.17।।
vibhīṣaṇa-vacaḥ śrutvā rāmo dṛḍha-parākramaḥ | anvīkṣya manasā sarvam idaṃ vacanam abravīt || 6.19.17 ||
وبھیشن کی باتیں سن کر، مضبوط عزم والے شری رام نے اپنے ذہن میں ہر پہلو پر غور کیا اور پھر یہ الفاظ کہے۔
Rama of mighty prowess having heard everything from Vibheeshana, examining in his mind, spoke.
Dharma involves deliberation: a righteous leader listens, reflects, and responds thoughtfully rather than impulsively.
After receiving Vibhīṣaṇa’s intelligence about Laṅkā’s forces, the narration transitions to Rāma’s considered response.
Rāma’s discernment (viveka) and self-control—he processes counsel internally before acting or speaking.
