Aditya Hridayam Upadeśa — Agastya’s Instruction to Rāma
नमउग्रायवीरायसारङ्गायनमोनमः ।नमःपद्मप्रबोधायमार्ताण्डायनमोऽस्तुते ।।6.107.18।।
nama ugrāya vīrāya sāraṅgāya namo namaḥ |
namaḥ padmaprabodhāya mārtaṇḍāya namo 'stu te ||6.107.18||
اے سخت ہیبت اور دلیر و بہادر، تمہیں سلام؛ اے سارنگا کہلانے والے، تمہیں بار بار سلام۔ اے کنول کو جگانے والے، اے مارتانڈ (سورج)، تمہیں سلام ہو۔
"Hail to you of terrible form, of valiant one, denoted by the syllable 'AUM'. Namaskar to the awakener of lotuses. Namaskar to the fierce one.
Dharma here is steadfast reverence toward the divine order (ṛta) embodied by the Sun—acknowledging a higher source of strength and clarity before acting.
Agastya instructs Rāma on the Āditya-hṛdaya hymn on the eve of the decisive battle, directing him to worship Sūrya for inner clarity and victory.
