Lakshmana’s Revival by the Herb-Mountain
अवसीदन्तिगात्राणिस्वप्नयानेनृणामिव ।चिन्तामेवर्ततेतीव्रामुमूर्षापि च जायते ।।।।
avasīdanti gātrāṇi svapnayāne nṛṇām iva |
cintām evartate tīvrā mumūrṣāpi ca jāyate ||
میرے اعضاء جواب دے رہے ہیں، جیسے میں خواب میں چل رہا ہوں؛ صرف شدید بے چینی میرے اندر امڈ رہی ہے، اور یہاں تک کہ مرنے کی خواہش بھی پیدا ہو رہی ہے۔
" A victim of your arrow can not be alive just as an elephant fallen into the clutch of a roaring lion with sharp teeth is not possible to live."
The verse exposes the moral cost of violence and loss: dharma is not performed without inner suffering; righteous action still encounters grief.
Rāma reacts physically and mentally to Lakṣmaṇa’s condition, describing dreamlike weakness and overpowering distress.
Depth of love and empathy—Rāma’s bond with Lakṣmaṇa is so strong that it destabilizes him.
