Concept: Viṣṇu is the sustaining center of cosmic cycles—sleep (yoganidrā) and re-manifestation recur, while all orders of beings participate in the divine economy.

Application: See life’s cycles as opportunities to renew devotion and dharma; align one’s role (svadharma) with service to the divine center rather than egoic repetition.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"In a timeless cosmic sanctuary, Viṣṇu rests in yoganidrā upon a subtle, luminous expanse, suggesting both dissolution and potential creation. Around him gather devas, dānavas, gandharvas, ṛṣis, siddhas, and cāraṇas—each rendered with distinct attire and aura—forming a concentric assembly that honors the same divine center.","primary_figures":["Viṣṇu (Nārāyaṇa)","Devas","Dānavas","Gandharvas","Ṛṣis","Siddhas","Cāraṇas"],"setting":"Mythic cosmic court/threshold between cycles; ethereal platform above dark waters or within a starry void","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","lotus pink","moon white","antique gold","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Viṣṇu in yoganidrā with ornate crown and gold-leaf aura; concentric rings of attending beings—ṛṣis with ochre robes, gandharvas with instruments, devas with jeweled ornaments; heavy gold leaf on halos and jewelry, rich reds/greens, temple-arch framing.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical celestial assembly with delicate faces; Viṣṇu reclining in serene blue tones; attendants arranged in gentle arcs with fine textile patterns; soft gradients, airy space, refined brushwork and subtle landscape-cloud motifs.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: central Viṣṇu with bold outlines and characteristic eyes; surrounding classes of beings in tiered registers; strong reds/yellows/greens, ornamental borders, temple-wall compositional clarity.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: Viṣṇu-centered mandala with lotus motifs; gandharvas as musicians, siddhas as flying figures; intricate floral borders, deep blues and gold, symmetrical devotional composition."}

FAQs

It portrays Viṣṇu as repeatedly entering a state of cosmic rest and re-manifesting—suggesting cyclical divine manifestation across time.

The list emphasizes a cosmically significant locale or sphere where multiple orders of beings—divine, semi-divine, and sage-like—are present or converge.

Indirectly, it elevates reverence for Viṣṇu’s cosmic role and for sacred contexts associated with divine manifestation; a direct ethical injunction is not explicit in this single half-verse.
