Raghuvara’s Royal Consecration

Rāma’s Coronation and Familial Reconciliation

raghunāthasya gamanaṃ vanaṃ prati yadā hyabhūt | tadā prabhṛti dehena sthitā śūnyena cetasā

FAQs

Raghunātha commonly denotes Śrī Rāma, the lord of the Raghu dynasty; here it points to Rāma’s departure for the forest.

It indicates a mind that has become ‘empty’ due to shock and grief—an inner numbness or vacancy caused by separation.

The verse highlights the depth of attachment and love in separation (viraha), often used in bhakti literature to show single-minded devotion when the beloved (or Lord) is away.
