Karmic Causality, Fate, and the Supremacy of Food-Charity

within Guru-tīrtha Glorification

कर्म एव प्रधानं यद्वर्षारूपेण वर्त्तते । क्षेत्रेषु यादृशं बीजं वपते कृषिकारकः

karma eva pradhānaṃ yadvarṣārūpeṇa varttate | kṣetreṣu yādṛśaṃ bījaṃ vapate kṛṣikārakaḥ

کرم ہی سب سے بڑا ہے، جو بارش کی مانند نتائج کی صورت میں کارفرما رہتا ہے۔ کھیتوں میں کسان جیسا بیج بوتا ہے، ویسا ہی اگتا ہے۔

Concept: Karma is primary and manifests as results—like rain enabling growth; whatever seed is sown, that alone arises.

Application: Treat daily choices as seeds: cultivate habits (study, prayer, restraint, service) that will predictably yield peace; avoid sowing anger, deceit, and negligence.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A farmer sows distinct seeds in neatly divided plots while monsoon clouds gather, and a sage narrates the unseen law connecting seed, rain, and harvest. In the sky, a subtle cosmic diagram overlays the clouds—karma as an orderly pattern rather than random fate.","primary_figures":["Farmer (kṛṣikāraka)","sage-narrator (symbolic)","personified Rain (Vṛṣṭi-devatā, symbolic)"],"setting":"Rural fields with furrows, seed baskets, distant village shrine, and layered monsoon horizon.","lighting_mood":"forest dappled","color_palette":["monsoon indigo","earth brown","sprout green","cloud silver","saffron ochre"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: agrarian karma allegory—farmer sowing seeds in patterned fields under stylized rain clouds, sage at the side holding a palm-leaf text; gold leaf highlights on raindrops and cloud edges, rich ochres and greens, ornate border with lotus motifs.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: gentle countryside with terraced fields, farmer sowing, soft monsoon sky; delicate brushwork on seedlings and rain, cool blues and greens, lyrical naturalism and refined figures.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined farmer and sage, stylized rain bands, rhythmic field patterns; natural pigment palette with strong reds/yellows/greens, mural-like symmetry and decorative motifs.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: fields rendered as ornamental panels filled with sprouting motifs; peacocks dancing for rain, lotus border, deep blue monsoon background with gold rain dots; a small Viṣṇu emblem subtly placed to indicate divine governance of order."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["distant thunder","rain beginning softly","rustle of grain","birds calling before monsoon","handbell punctuations"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: यद्वर्षारूपेण = यत् + वर्षारूपेण; वर्षारूपेण is a tatpuruṣa compound; कृषिकारकः analyzed as tatpuruṣa meaning ‘one who does agriculture’.

FAQs

It teaches moral causality: outcomes arise from one’s actions, just as a crop corresponds to the seed sown.

The farmer’s seed represents intentional deeds; the resulting harvest represents the consequences (karma-phala) that follow those deeds.

Yes. It emphasizes karma as “paramount,” presenting results as a natural, law-like unfolding from prior actions.
