Karmic Causality, Fate, and the Supremacy of Food-Charity

within Guru-tīrtha Glorification

हिंसाप्रायां बहुक्लेशां कृषिं चैव तथा पुरा । तस्य दुःखार्जितस्यापि प्राणेभ्योपि गरीयसः

hiṃsāprāyāṃ bahukleśāṃ kṛṣiṃ caiva tathā purā | tasya duḥkhārjitasyāpi prāṇebhyopi garīyasaḥ

قدیم زمانے کی کھیتی زیادہ تر ہنسا (تشدد) سے جڑی اور بہت سی مشقتوں سے بھری تھی؛ پھر بھی اس دکھ سے کمائی ہوئی پیداوار کو لوگ اپنی جان سے بھی زیادہ قیمتی سمجھتے ہیں۔
