FAQs

Śaṅkhapada is presented as the son of the Prajāpati Kardama and is described as being consecrated as a king in the southern region.

It indicates royal consecration (abhiṣeka)—the formal anointing that legitimizes a ruler’s kingship.

The verse records a genealogical-political act: appointing a rightful ruler for a specific region, linking kingship to Prajāpati lineage.
