Kāmodākhyāna
Glory of the Kāmodā Sacred Place
हर्षेण तु समाविष्टा तदाश्रूणि पतंति च । आनंदाश्रूणि गंगायां पतितानि सुरेश्वरि ॥ १३ ॥
harṣeṇa tu samāviṣṭā tadāśrūṇi pataṃti ca | ānaṃdāśrūṇi gaṃgāyāṃ patitāni sureśvari || 13 ||
خوشی سے سرشار ہو کر اُس کے آنسو بہنے لگتے ہیں۔ اے سُریشوری! وہ آنند کے آنسو گنگا میں جا گرتے ہیں۔
Narada (narrating within the Ganga-tirtha mahatmya context; vocative address to a divine lady, 'Sureśvarī')
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It portrays devotional ecstasy (ānanda) so intense that it manifests as tears, and it links that inner bhakti-state with the sanctifying power of Gaṅgā—suggesting that sincere emotion and sacred place together amplify spiritual merit.
Bhakti is shown as an embodied experience: joy floods the devotee, tears arise spontaneously, and even those tears become an offering when they fall into Gaṅgā—an outward sign of inward surrender and grace.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; it primarily supports Tīrtha-dharma and devotional practice by emphasizing the sacred efficacy of Gaṅgā in rites of bathing, offering, and pilgrimage-oriented worship.
