Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames pilgrimage as a disciplined dharmic act: before hearing Prayāga’s glory, one must understand the “general procedure” (sāmānya-vidhi) that purifies intention and makes tīrtha-visit spiritually fruitful.
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent listening and correct practice—approaching a tīrtha with proper conduct and receptivity (śṛṇu) is a devotional mode that prepares one to receive the tīrtha’s grace.
It points to ritual procedure (kalpa-style vidhi): orderly rules governing sacred acts like tīrtha-yātrā, emphasizing correct method before narrating the specific māhātmya of Prayāga.
