FAQs

It affirms that repeatedly bestowed merit (puṇya), especially earned through righteous victory over wrongdoing, culminates in Viṣṇu-gati—access to Viṣṇu’s realms—once all impurities (kalmaṣa) are cleansed.

By centering the final destination as “Viṣṇu-gatān lokān,” the verse frames the highest fruit as reaching Viṣṇu through surrendered orientation to Him; purification and grace-fruit (puṇya) become supports for Viṣṇu-bhakti’s end—nearness to Viṣṇu.

No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this line; the practical takeaway is karmic-ritual logic used in Purāṇic dharma—puṇya accrues through righteous action and gifting (dāna), leading to purification and higher lokas.
