ityuktvā vṛṣamāruhya vāyunā dhūtacāmaraḥ | nandikena suveṣeṇa dhṛte chatre'tiśobhane || 78 ||
Suta (narrator) describing the scene (contextual narration within the dialogue tradition of the Purana)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
The verse uses royal and devotional iconography—bull-mount, parasol (chatra), and fan (cāmara)—to convey divine sovereignty and reverential service (sevā) rendered by attendants like Nandī.
Bhakti is shown here as attentive service and honoring the divine presence: Nandī’s act of holding the parasol symbolizes loving attendance, humility, and readiness to serve.
Direct Vedāṅga instruction is not explicit in this verse; however, it reflects Purāṇic ritual-culture (upacāra) where items like chatra and cāmara function as formal honors in worship and ceremonial protocol.
