Narada (narrative voice within the Narada Purana tradition; dialogue context commonly framed around Narada and the Sanatkumara tradition in this section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
The verse highlights dharma expressed through humility and reverence—seeking Śiva’s consent and then honoring revered figures through ceremonial feeding, a classic purāṇic marker of merit (puṇya) and right conduct.
Bhakti here is shown as practical devotion: respecting divine authority (Śiva) and serving the divine feminine (Girijā) and exemplary virtue (Arundhatī) through hospitality and offering of food.
It reflects kalpa-oriented practice (ritual procedure): obtaining permission (anujñā) and performing bhojana-sevā (honorific feeding), which aligns with smārta-purāṇic norms of rite and etiquette.
