It preserves a traditional archival method: mantras are authenticated and transmitted by their opening and closing markers, ensuring correct recitation and lineage-accuracy in ritual practice.
Bhakti here is supported by disciplined practice—devotional worship becomes effective when mantra-recitation is precise, properly identified, and performed according to the transmitted order.
It reflects technical cataloging used in ritual and recitation—akin to Vedanga-style precision—where mantra sections are referenced by incipits/endings for correct deployment in rites involving protective ‘varma’ and ‘astra’ formulae.
