Sanatkumara (teaching Narada a technical ritual method)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links inner discipline (sense-control and mantra-japa) with an outward rite (abhiṣeka), teaching that desired results arise when ritual action is empowered by concentrated, regulated consciousness.
By directing the practitioner to bathe/anoint the ‘beloved’ deity after japa, it frames mantra practice as loving service (upacāra) where devotion culminates in offering sanctified water to the worshipped Lord.
It highlights applied ritual science: correct sequencing of acts (kumbha-sparśa → sahasra-japa → abhiṣeka) and the use of mantra-charged water as an efficacious ritual medium.
