etaddhi sādhanaṃ puṇyaṃ lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā | prakāśitaṃ rahasyaṃ vai devānāmapi durlabham || 142 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the dialogue context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It asserts that the teaching being presented is not ordinary instruction but a meritorious sādhanā revealed for universal welfare, and so subtle that even the Devas rarely obtain it.
By framing the instruction as a “rahasya” revealed for the good of all, it reflects the Purāṇic pattern of granting accessible, grace-based practice—often expressed through bhakti-oriented disciplines—meant to uplift the world.
Rather than naming a specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa), the verse emphasizes the principle of authoritative transmission of an effective sādhanā—i.e., a carefully preserved technical teaching being “prakāśita” (made public) for right practice.
