Narada (teaching ritual procedure within the Vedanga/kalpa-oriented section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vatsalya
It presents a karma-kāṇḍa method where mantra-japa is sealed by homa (a tenth of the count), emphasizing that disciplined repetition plus fire-offerings—performed with prescribed substances—yields a dharmic, auspicious result.
While primarily ritualistic, the structure of sustained japa and dedicated offering reflects bhakti as focused devotion expressed through regulated worship—turning desire into a vow-like, reverent practice.
Kalpa (ritual procedure): the rule of completing 100,000 japa and performing homa equal to one-tenth of the japa count, along with the specified dravya (putrajīva fruits and wood) for the rite.
