The Greatness of Viṣṇu
Viṣṇor Māhātmya
taistu sraṃperitāvāvāṃ viṣṇudūtairakalmaṣaiḥ | divyaṃ vimānamāruhya sarvabhogasamanvitam || 39 ||
Narada (narrating to the Sanatkumara brothers)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights divine grace: the spotless Viṣṇudūtas actively guide and elevate the devotee, symbolizing protected passage from worldly bondage toward Viṣṇu’s higher realm.
Bhakti is shown as a relationship of refuge and rescue—Viṣṇu’s messengers come for the devotee and lead them upward, implying that devotion culminates in divine assistance and safe transition.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; it is primarily a mokṣa-oriented narrative image (vimāna, Viṣṇudūtas) used to convey the fruit of devotion and purity.
