śrāddhaṃ kurvaṃti ye martyāḥ śraddhāvaṃto munīśvara | na teṣāṃ saṃtaticchedaḥ saṃpannāste bhavaṃti ca || 82 ||
Narada (addressing Sanatkumara as munīśvara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that Śrāddha done with genuine śraddhā (faithful intent) sustains dharma across generations, securing continuity of family lineage and inviting well-being as a fruit of righteous ancestral duty.
While focused on ritual duty, it highlights the bhakti-like inner requirement of śraddhā: the rite is spiritually effective when performed with reverence and sincere intention, not merely as a social formality.
It points to Kalpa (ritual procedure) in practice—Śrāddha as a prescribed rite—and underscores that correct performance joined with śraddhā is central to attaining the stated results.
