Narada (instructional discourse within Purva Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bibhatsa
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames marriage as a dharmic responsibility: the householder should choose a partner whose conduct supports sattva, truthfulness, and stable family dharma, avoiding traits associated with indulgence and deceit.
Indirectly, it protects bhakti by advising a household environment grounded in self-control and honesty; such stability supports regular worship, vows, and disciplined living conducive to Vishnu-bhakti.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Shiksha, or Jyotisha) is taught in this verse; it is primarily a dharma-niti instruction relevant to grihastha conduct.
