Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none (context: a vrata just described in surrounding verses)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It elevates sincere, correctly completed vrata-practice as a powerful dharmic path, declaring its merit to surpass even grand Vedic sacrifices when done with proper completion and intent.
By praising the fruit of a vrata, the verse supports the Purāṇic model where disciplined observance—often centered on devotion and purity—can yield immense spiritual merit without requiring royal-scale sacrifices.
Ritual procedure is emphasized: a vrata must be performed samyak (correctly) and properly concluded (aśrīyāt), reflecting applied kalpa-style discipline (practical ritual conduct) even within a Purāṇic teaching.
