पद्मनाभ नमस्तुभ्यं सर्वलोकपितामह । मधुदानेन सुप्रीतो भवसर्वसुखप्रदः ॥ ७७ ॥
padmanābha namastubhyaṃ sarvalokapitāmaha | madhudānena suprīto bhavasarvasukhapradaḥ || 77 ||
اے پدمنابھ! آپ کو نمسکار، آپ تمام جہانوں کے پیتامہ ہیں۔ شہد کے دان سے خوش ہو کر ہر طرح کی خوشی عطا فرمائیں۔
Narrative voice within the Narada Purana tradition (instructional stuti used in the dāna/vrata context; commonly transmitted in the Narada–Sanatkumāra dialogue frame)
Vrata: Dvadashi-vrata (Padmanabha-focused)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents Viṣṇu (Padmanābha) as the cosmic source and teaches that sincere dāna—here, madhu-dāna—when offered with devotion becomes a cause for divine pleasure and the granting of auspicious well-being.
Bhakti is expressed through humble namaskāra (salutation) and stuti (praise), joined with an offering; devotion is not only inward feeling but also reverent action that seeks the Lord’s grace for dharmic happiness.
The verse reflects kalpa-oriented practice (ritual discipline) in the form of dāna-vidhi—specific items offered (honey) with a specific intention (divine satisfaction and welfare), a common Purāṇic application of Vedic ritual principles.
