Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in an upadeśa context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It prioritizes buddhi (discernment) grounded in the Self and aligned with the Guru’s instruction, warning that unexamined dependence on others and sense-driven attachment destabilize dharma and obstruct spiritual progress.
By elevating guru-buddhi, it implies that devotion is safeguarded when guided by the Guru’s śāstra-based counsel; bhakti becomes steady when one does not follow shifting social opinions or sense-impulses.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught; the practical takeaway is śāstra-guided viveka (discernment) and sadācāra—habits that support any Vedic study, recitation, and disciplined practice.
