Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames Vedic prosody (Chandas) as disciplined śāstra-knowledge: by learning correct metre and terminology, sacred teaching can be preserved and transmitted accurately—supporting dharma and ultimately mokṣa-oriented study.
Indirectly: bhakti texts and hymns rely on precise poetic forms; this verse emphasizes the correct structure and naming of metres so that stotras and teachings praising Vishnu can be recited and taught without distortion.
Chandas (Vedic prosody): it introduces daṇḍaka-type metres (e.g., Caṇḍavṛṣṭi) and explains that gāthā verses may have 3 to 6 pādas, with their technical names taught in sequence.
