घोरा गतिर्हरित्वाष्ट्रवसुवारुणभेषु च । इंद्रा ग्निमित्रमार्तंडभेषु पापाह्वयागतिः ॥ ४७ ॥
ghorā gatirharitvāṣṭravasuvāruṇabheṣu ca | iṃdrā gnimitramārtaṃḍabheṣu pāpāhvayāgatiḥ || 47 ||
ہریت، تواشٹر، وسو اور وارُن کے روپ-ناموں میں گتی کو گھور (ہیبت ناک) کہا گیا ہے؛ اور اندراغنی، متر اور مارتنڈ کے روپوں میں وہ ‘پاپاہویا’ یعنی گناہ کے نام والی نحوست بھری گتی کہلاتی ہے۔

By contrasting fearful and sin-termed destinies, it implicitly supports the Moksha-Dharma theme that one should turn away from karma that yields harsh gati and orient life toward purifying devotion and dharma that lead to auspicious ends.
It reflects a Vedic-nigama style of deity-classification and karmaphala mapping—useful for understanding ritual-theology (yajña-devatā associations) and the cosmological framework often employed alongside Jyotiṣa-style naming of divine forms.
