It shows how the Purana integrates Vedanga Jyotisha into Dharma: worldly status (like kingship) is presented as a karmic outcome of specific configurations, reminding the seeker that power arises from causes and should be used in righteous governance.
Indirectly: by describing royal success as a result of karmic and cosmic order, it encourages a ruler to remain humble and to dedicate authority to dharmic service—an attitude that supports Vishnu-bhakti even amid worldly responsibility.
Vedanga Jyotisha: interpreting planetary sign placements (Sun in Aries, Moon associations, and placements in Leo/Aquarius/Capricorn) as indicators of rāja-yoga—i.e., outcomes like sovereignty, strength, and military capacity.
