Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
piṃḍe nisarge ravocce no grahaḥ ṣaṭbhālpako yadā | cakraśuddhastadā grāhyesyāṃśā āyuṣisaṃmatāḥ || 122 ||

It frames Jyotiṣa as a disciplined, rule-based Vedāṅga: only when the chart is ‘śuddha’ (free from specified weaknesses) should one rely on its aṁśas for conclusions like longevity—encouraging careful, ethical discernment rather than superstition.
Indirectly: by emphasizing correct assessment of worldly conditions (like āyus), it supports a dharmic life where one uses knowledge responsibly and turns the mind toward higher aims (mokṣa), for which bhakti is a central means in the Narada Purana.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa—evaluating planetary strength/weakness and using aṁśa (degree/divisional) measures to judge whether a horoscope is fit for reliable āyus (longevity) computation.
