FAQs

It frames precise time-reckoning (kāla-gaṇanā) as a disciplined, reverent practice—showing that knowledge, order, and careful attention can support dharma and spiritual life.

The word “bhaktyā” indicates doing even technical reckoning with devoted diligence—turning study and calculation into a form of sincere, attentive service rather than mere dry scholarship.

Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa (astronomical/astrological timekeeping): it points to computing cycles and deriving day-counts via grouped day-reckoning (dyu-gaṇa) within a yuga framework.
