प्रेतभूतप्रियश्चैव देवता ह्युपयाचनम् । मृतकर्मनिवत्तिं च प्रमाणमिति निश्चयः ॥ ३१ ॥

pretabhūtapriyaścaiva devatā hyupayācanam | mṛtakarmanivattiṃ ca pramāṇamiti niścayaḥ || 31 ||

جو دیوتا پریتوں اور بھوتوں میں رغبت رکھے، اسی دیوتا کی طرف سے نذرانوں کی طلب (اُپَیاچنا) ہو، اور مُردوں کے لیے کیے جانے والے کرموں کی ترویج ہو—یہی نشانیاں ہیں؛ یہی اس کا ثبوت مانا گیا ہے۔
