It affirms that diverse forms of sacred knowledge are meant for universal welfare and highlights the Viṣṇu Purāṇa as an authoritative condensation of śāstric meaning—guiding seekers toward dharma and devotion centered on Viṣṇu.
By praising the Viṣṇu Purāṇa as the collected essence of all śāstras, it implies that devotion to Viṣṇu is not separate from scriptural wisdom but is supported by it as a distilled, accessible teaching for all.
Rather than naming a specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa), the verse emphasizes the integrative function of Purāṇic teaching—summarizing and making the broader śāstric tradition practically usable for the welfare of people.
