Narada (as narrator within the Anukramanika-style summary)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It functions as a phala-śruti: it declares that hearing/reciting the Parvatākhyāna destroys sin (pāpa-kṣaya) and yields desired spiritual and worldly outcomes, encouraging śravaṇa and smaraṇa of Purāṇic dharma.
By praising a sacred narrative connected to Śiva and Gaurī, it highlights devotional listening (kathā-śravaṇa) as a direct means to purification and grace—an important bhakti practice alongside worship and remembrance.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; instead it emphasizes Purāṇic phala-śruti methodology—using authoritative lineage (Śiva speaking for Gaurī) to establish the efficacy of a dharma narrative.
