Narada (teaching within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue framework)
Vrata: Jayantī (Dvādaśī)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It defines a specific sacred calendrical combination—Dvādaśī in the bright half joined with the Prājāpatya nakṣatra—declaring it “Jayantī,” a highly meritorious day for dharmic observance and worship.
By identifying an especially auspicious Dvādaśī, the verse supports disciplined devotional practice (vrata and pūjā) performed on elevated tithis, a common Purāṇic method for strengthening steady bhakti through time-sanctified worship.
Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology): the verse uses technical timing—tithi (Dvādaśī), pakṣa (Śukla), and nakṣatra (Prājāpatya/Rohiṇī)—to classify and name a vrata-day (Jayantī).
