bālagrahābhibhūtānāṃ bālānāṃ śāntikārakam / saṃghātabhede ca nṛṇāṃ maitrīkaraṇamuttamam

FAQs

Devotion is presented as socially constructive: it protects the vulnerable (children) and heals communal fractures (saṃghāta-bheda) by restoring trust and goodwill.

This is functional liturgy (phalaśruti) rather than cosmic history.

‘Bāla-graha’ can also be read as early-life vulnerabilities and fear-patterns; the Māhātmya’s śravaṇa acts as a stabilizing field that supports psychological and relational integration.
