Adhyaya 75 — The Fall and Restoration of Revatī Nakṣatra and the Birth of Raivata Manu
vasiṣṭhaś ca mahābhāgo vedavedāntapāragaḥ | ete saptarṣayaś cāsan raivatas yāntare manoḥ ||
By highlighting Vasiṣṭha’s Veda–Vedānta mastery, the text links ritual-knowledge (Veda) and liberative insight (Vedānta) as complementary supports of dharma in an age.
Manvantara: it completes the standard manvantara profile by sealing the saptarṣi identification for Raivata’s period.
Vasiṣṭha functions as an archetypal ‘brahma-ṛṣi’ anchoring both pravṛtti (ritual/order) and nivṛtti (knowledge/release) within the same cosmic cycle.
