शकटारूढभाण्डैश्च गोपालैर्विपणं विना ।

गोस्मूहैस्तथा घोषो यत्रेच्छाभूमिकेतनः ॥

Transliteration

śakaṭārūḍhabhāṇḍaiś ca gopālair vipaṇaṃ vinā / gosamūhais tathā ghoṣo yatreच्छābhūmiketanaḥ

Translation

جہاں گوالے گاڑیوں پر سامان لادے ہوئے اور مویشیوں کے ریوڑ کے ساتھ رہتے ہوں، مگر وہاں ہاٹ یا بازار نہ ہو—ایسی جگہ ‘گھوش’ کہلاتی ہے؛ یعنی دستیاب زمین پر حسبِ خواہش قائم کیا گیا چرواہوں کا پڑاؤ۔
