Adhyaya 37Alarka’s Crisis and the Teaching on Non-Attachment (Madālasa’s Instruction Recalled)

मनस्यवस्थितं दुःखं सुखं वा मानसञ्च यत् ।

यतस्ततो न मे दुःखं सुखं वा न ह्यहं मनः ॥

manasy avasthitaṃ duḥkhaṃ sukhaṃ vā mānasañ ca yat | yatas tato na me duḥkhaṃ sukhaṃ vā na hy ahaṃ manaḥ ||

درد ہو یا لذت، اور جو کچھ بھی ذہنی ہے وہ ذہن ہی میں ٹھہرتا ہے۔ اس لیے وہ میرا نہیں—نہ درد نہ لذت—کیونکہ میں ذہن نہیں ہوں۔
