Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
करोत्यात्महितं कुर्वन् विश्वासञ्च महाजने ।
देवताः पितरो विप्रा मित्रार्थिविकलादयः ॥
karoty ātma-hitaṃ kurvan viśvāsaṃ ca mahā-jane | devatāḥ pitaro viprā mitra-arthi-vikalādayaḥ ||
یوں عمل کرکے وہ اپنا بھلا کرتا ہے اور اکابر کے درمیان اعتماد پاتا ہے۔ دیوتا، پِتر، برہمن، دوست، سائل، مصیبت زدہ اور دوسرے لوگ اسی کی طرف امید سے دیکھتے ہیں۔
