FAQs

Karmic justice is portrayed as proportionate and finite: punishment exhausts a specific demerit, after which accumulated merit bears fruit. The verse also reinforces accountability—precise causation rather than vague guilt.

A dharma/karmaphala resolution within narrative; not one of the five-lakṣaṇa topics.

The ‘exhaustion’ model suggests samsāric experiences as purification-through-experience: once a particular knot is paid out, the being moves to a higher experiential domain corresponding to puṇya.
